Just a recommendation for anyone who might be working with The Glass Menagerie. The Kennedy Center website has excellent resources for this play in their education website. Multiple production videos etc. Text is available on line as well. ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ------------ ...

Hello,  I have a question to those of you who live streamed last spring, especially because the fall seems so uncertain. Were you able to sell tickets?  If so, how did that work?  I've seen streaming on free platforms like Facebook and You tube but not other options.  Eager to hear your thoughts. ...

Just heard from TRW--- "There are no fees to postpone and you are able to postpone up to the end of your school year. "  Hope others have similar responses! They seem to be on top of things and replied within 24 hours. ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ----------------------------- ...

Seeking best reasonable costume options for Mermaid.  Ideas? Also considering projected backdrops by Frendt.  Has anyone had experience with them? Did it go well? Thanks for your input! ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ------------------------------

Check out Emma. a Pop Musical  at Playscripts.   Comes w/ accompaniment tracks. It's silly but our kids and audiences  enjoyed it.   I have 22 matching uniform skirts! LOTS o parts for girls and some nice solo work for  5 or 6 girls and 3 or 4 guys. ------------------------------ Nell Lynch -- ...

We did it  a few years ago to great effect.  The kids enjoyed the show and we had a few parents who really got into the act!  We had a beautiful vintage motorcycle roped off in the lobby and on show weekend a different classic 60's convertible parked in front of school for picture ops. It created lots ...

We have had success with weekly progress videos. Audiences seem to enjoy getting to know the progress as much as seeing the product. I ask the kids to take shots during rehearsals, production meetings, builds, and to take pictures of preliminary sketches and final designs. We use Adobe Spark and Adobe ...

You might look at Emma, A Pop Musical from playscripts I believe, it's easy to produce, comes w recorded music tracks. It's Jane Austen set to pop music and updated to a private school. It's pretty tame but kids can have fun with it! ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ------------------- ...

I agree 100%about loaning vs.rental.  The receiving school should do the pick up and return promptly at a time convenient to you.  All we can do to create community and support each other makes us all better! ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ------------------------------

If you are considering Cinderella by all means do the new 2013 Broadway version that has just become available. The book is new, fresh,  and delightful!  All of the jokes land and the new orchestrations are lovely!  The new stepsister subplot makes them both great roles. Our ensemble had as much fun ...

A school near us used projections for a production of  Little Mermaid last year. I believe they used the products from Broadway Media Distribution. They were pretty amazing. The school created small props and furniture that actors interacted with but the bulk was projected and much of it moved. It ...

We did this last spring and it was a total delight. Lots of opportunities to feature girls and just a few nice roles for boys. We did three separate ensembles so each could be featured in different numbers. Kids had a ball with the choreography. Easy set w/no impossible challenges. Contact me for pictures. ...

It seems as if that would destroy the integrity of the piece. Why not look for a similar theme written about women? Maybe a play version of Girl, Interrupted? ------------------------------ Nell Lynch ------------------------------ ------------------------------------------- Original Message: ...
