  • 1.  What goals do you set for each rehearsal?

I love the idea of setting goals for each rehearsal. I have a few I already have in mind - active listening, project/volume, pronunciation, movement. I'm a bit stumped at what others I could include. I'd love suggestions. Thank you!

Goals: Find the funny! When I worked with my students on Brighton Beach Memoirs, one of the assignments I gave them was to find a line someone else had in the show that would make their character laugh. We found some really lovely and nuanced moments using that technique!

What is your character really motivated to do in this scene? What do they want out of the situation? How does it connect to the previous and next scenes? Consistency is following blocking (especially as you move closer to performances).
