    Hi,
Does the hotel provide transportation to the shows? or are we on our own?

I have a ticket to Hadestown on Friday and Frozen on Saturday.

    Thanks,
    Joanie

Maybe we should set up a spot for folk to meet each night to take the subway together. Then people who are traveling alone know they can get there with folk who know how to use the subways and also make new friends!

    Hi Joanie,

Nathan is correct - transportation is on your own, but there are many options to get you to and from the hotel. The least expensive would be the subway. A station is located about a block away from the hotel and it's a fairly short ride into the city.

I'm taking a chance to learn the subway system.  The Marriott is a block or 2 from a station  http://web.mta.info/maps/submap.html

    Joanie -
No worries on transportation.  The subway is easy to learn and there will be a lot of people headed to the shows as well.  There are a couple good apps where you can put in your destination and it tells you what station and what train you can take.  There are usually several options as well.  The subway is MUCH cheaper and often faster than a taxi or Uber/Lyft.

The subway system is easy – and colorful! There's no need to take any more expensive form to travel. Give yourself extra time,  sit back, and enjoy it! Elaine B

Honestly, NYC is one of the easiest cities to learn and get around in. And TRUE New Yorkers are super helpful and friendly!
