  • 1.  A free Zoom recording of a production

    Posted 11-19-2020 10:56

I am in the last weeks of directing a Zoom production for recording and VOD of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIVE A LIVE RADIO PLAY, with Broadway on Demand. Our cast/staff has 35 creatives, ages 8-80. Does someone has at least a clip of part of your Zoom recorded show, that you could share a link. Our cast/staff sometimes can't see the possibilities of acting from home. So I thought if I could provide am example of even a short few minutes of a recorded production with many actors, it might help.

    Thanks in advance.
Happy upcoming Thanksgiving. I feel thankful knowing that you and your programs provide a safe place for distance Theatre experiences.

Congratulations Gai!  What a great project.

I'm extremely proud of our finished production of Clue, Stay at Home Version.  Here is the trailer I created.  The show is clunky and glitchy, relying completely on students' individual wi-fi; but it has moments of brilliance and we learned SO MUCH during this process.

    Enjoy my little clip...

    Gail,

As far as I'm concerned, the best Zoom performance I've ever seen is a delightful 15-minute show called Nothing Good Happens After Midnight, done by Taphouse Theatre. It shows how easy and effective it is to do costuming, sets (Dad in his "man cave," Mom at her vanity mirror), characterization.... even the camera angle by clueless Dad is hysterical. And when Mom is running down the hall with a handheld camera look, I almost fell off my chair laughing!

The video is on Pioneer Drama's website on the bottom of the play's page here:  https://www.pioneerdrama.com/SearchDetail.asp?pc=NOTHINGGOO&id=0

    Best wishes!
