Where does one get the wooden (i.e., safe) pitchforks for BIG FISH?

When we did Beauty and the Beast, we made a bunch using paint sticks and cardboard.  Little modge podge and some paint and wa-la.

    Hope that helps

HI Mark -  This is an easy prop to fabricate… All it takes is about 6' of a 1-1/2" closet rod, an 8" x 8" piece of 1/2" plywood and 4 pieces of 1x3 at least 25" long, some glue and your preference to secure the pieces to the plywood.  Cut ½" slots in the closet rod and 1x3 as shown in the PDF. Cut the curved "tines" as shown in the 1x3, angle the "tines" for a snug fit and assemble… This won't is as historically accurate as a bentwood folk but with a little distressing and rehearsal it should fit the bill and is easy on the budget. - I attached a sketch that gives the rough dimensions
