  • 1.  Technical Theatre curriculum

    Hey everyone! I've been teaching with Theatrefolk's Practical Technical Theatre video program for the past few years but it isn't very engaging. I'm looking for a new Technical Theatre curriculum or textbook. Thoughts? Thanks!

    Hi Amy,
    I've been using my husband's Theatre Design and Technology Workbook he created which has been very useful, and also a great resource for self and subs. It's 400 pages of the design process through principles and elements of design, design/art exercises, and theatre tech and design projects for students, including microplays and other edu-goodies. A bit of a disclaimer in that he sells his workbook usually at EdTA Conf. and Festival. Derek is a theatre design professor at Linfield University.
