  • 1.  Musical with 2 Singers

    I realize it is a long shot, but if anyone would know, it's you guys! I am in search for a short high school appropriate musical, or one that would allow cutting down to one hour, featuring…here goes…only two true singers. One male, one female (who are preferably not romantic). I have a few others who may can pull off some "character" singing, but that's about it….. And go!

    Hello,

    There is a lovely little musical called THE GIFT OF THE MAGI by Peter Ekstrom.  I saw it at Actor's Theatre of Louisville and later my husband directed it. (He says it is one of his all time favorites).

    Even though the 2 Actors are married, there is no need for them to kiss or be super physical with each other, it is not that type of show.  The music is charming and it is a great story.

    I don't know if it can be cut down and I'm not sure what your definition of appropriate is for high school but have you looked at THE LAST 5 YEARS by Jason Robert Brown.
