Now that my blog on design and tech has been up for a couple of years, I've been able to get a pretty good idea of what topics are the most popular. In general, they are about stuff that's not covered in the standard textbooks, and which we didn't learn in school. Reading the questions and answers here in the Forum has only reinforced my perception.
So I'm curious as to whether there would be any interest in a series of short focused papers on specific topics related to set deign and scenery. For instance, I think the first one would be on how to organize a stock scenery collection, with drawings showing various methods of storing flats, platforms, and so forth. Another one may be on how to organize and catalog a prop storage area and possibly on how to set up a rental business. IOW, topics which are longer than a blog post could cover, but short enough to be read in an hour or two.
These would be available for download from Lulu.com or a similar service, and priced around $5.00 each.
Would you have any interest in something like this, and, if so, what topics would you like to see covered?
