  • 1.  Plays performed in both Spanish and English

    Does anyone have any suggestions for plays that could be performed in both Spanish and English? I'm looking for something like "Our Dad is in Atlantis" by Javier Malpica that was at one time performed on alternating nights in both languages. I'd like to look at play selections and consider doing a production like this to reach out to our strong Latino culture at our school. Ideally, I'm looking for something with cast size of 7-10 players or more. Thank you in advance for the help!

    Hi Angie,
    MTI's Aladdin, Jr. dual language edition is in both Spanish & English.  We had a blast working on it four years ago.

    We just started Teatro Leyden at our high school because we also have a large Latino population. Last year we did "La Gringa" in Spanish on 1 night, English on the next night and both versions an Saturday night with a Puerto Rican festival in between. Right now we started rehearsals for "The House on Mango Street", which we will also do in both. Both of these shows have the cast size you are looking for. We cast an English cast and a Spanish cast and we currently have a couple of cast members that are in both versions.
