Just looking for ideas on fabricating a replica of a roll-down security grille, like you see at the mall. It doesn't need to function. Needs to be about 8'w x 6'h. It will be suspended from the ceiling, and secured into the back of a platform. No need to support any weight, but it does need to able to be reached through and have things tied to it, so a painted flat won't work.

Thoughts?

Yes, that's the idea. There are many different styles. I've decided to go with vertical drops of chain, and horizontal grey PVC conduit. Should play well from the audience.

Sonotubes are always a go-to material for light cylindrical creations. Some silver paint and you'd be on your way. Another great material that can be curved are the corrugated roofing panels.
