I directed ALMOST, MAINE last spring and it was our all-state show in February. In both cases, an exterior porch was used and it worked fine. Being in Minnesota, it would not be a stretch for two snowmobilers to do what they do outside, and it is important of course, for them to not go into the house until Rhonda invites him in at the end. Maybe there is a little suspension of disbelief when they jettison their clothes at the end, but that part of the scene is so funny that I don't think anyone in the audience is thinking about that incongruity.
