National Arts Standards and Student Self-Evaluation

09-13-2015 22:31

For my Drama 2/3 class, I wanted to create a sense of artist accountability as well as a check for me to see what students are learning - and are they learning the skills I think that they are learning? So I made these handouts for them so that they could 1) see the "standards" expected of them, and 2) reflect on their own engagement and learning, and 3) advocate for their own learning. For me, it serves as 1) a check for how on track we are, and 2) what I need to do or adjust as a teacher to make sure they get the most out of the class. We've only done the "Creating" Evaluation, but the format remains the same for all subject areas. They are delineated by anchor standards, level, and objectives. I hope these are useful for others as well!
