    Good morning! 

    I recently wrote an article that was just published on 'American Theatre' about being a second generation Cuban American in the theatre world and how it shaped me as an a person and an educator. I spoke about the EDTA conference in California and the people who inspire me: Gloria Estefan, Anna Deavere Smith and Lin Manuel Miranda. 
    I am really proud of the article. I would be honored if our community read it.

    Thanks for sharing this Cristina, and congratulations on getting it published. I particularly loved reading about In the Heights, since it's one of my favorite musicals.

    Thank you for your sweet words, Joan. I am honored you took the time to read the article. 

    I am thrilled to share it with our community at EDTA.  I was a thespian in high school for the four years and have served as as troupe director for almost 19 years. Most of my life I have been a member. I am proud to be apart of this organization.

    Thank you, Linda. 'In the Heights' has such a special place in my heart as well. It was so great to see how the community rallied around that show. It definitely was one of my most rewarding experiences as a director and as a person.
