TEACHING THEATRE: A Wealth of Information

One of the greatest things I did when I was teaching was to save all of the TEACHING THEATRE publications.  I kept them all in a 3-ring binder with tabs attached to some of my favorite lessons and articles.  I know that many of these are now archived here on the website, so I would like to encourage you to take some time (when you have time) maybe over the holidays to check out some of these old publications for just the lesson you might be searching for... or you may find something wonderful that just might inspire you.  There is a wealth of information in those old publications.

I wanted to share one of my favorite lessons from an issue back in 2015.  This lesson works great with a musical theatre class, but you can adapt it to work it with various levels of kids and all different kinds of theatre classes.   Do the lesson as it is shared, or use parts of it to help kids create, write or draft stories using songs with or without actually singing or dancing.   It's a great lesson in collaboration and creativity.   My kids LOVED doing this lesson! I am attaching it here for you.  Check it out and have some fun.
