    Hello,
I have a little experience teaching drama to middle school teachers. That being said, I am now teaching drama to a very small high school class and am struggling to keep 6 students on task. I have my mini lessons, and my curriculum planned, but when given time to practice, they just want to socialize. How can I keep them engaged?
    Thanks,
    Connie Korrell

Following! I have two classes, which are supposed to be on the same schedule of activities, but one has 12 students (close to ideal) and the other has 6 students (not as ideal) with 2 of them on IEPs, and two students who are in both sections. I struggle with strategies that will work (with and without accommodations) for everyone.

Practice as in rehearsal for a production?

I have a musical theater class of 10. I split them up into rehearsal pairs and have them work on scenes. They come together to perform for their peers, and they are graded.

Have them write their own monologues and scenes to perform!
