  • 1.  Ticketing Software for 2025-26 School Year

Alright teachers and administrators, it's 2025 and we're doing more with less, what are our "Go-to" companies for Ticketing Software that are kinda free OR won't eat up our profits?

I did a search and the last time this topic was addressed was 2013. So, an update is needed.

I'm in Pittsburgh, and teach at a Performing Arts Charter School grades 9-12. We have two bigger shows, a fall play and a spring musical. But LOADS of smaller events that require tickets too.

All advice is welcomed and appreciated. Thank you~

Most ticket software allows you the option to pass the transaction fees to the customers and also don't charge the transaction fee for cash purchases at the door.  Most of our credit card customers seem to understand.

We have been satisfied with Ludus as a ticketing system.

with that said, do you need the ability to do assigned seating?

if you just do general admission, and don't do advanced sales, you could just get one of those Square card swipers that attaches to a phone and just do cash /credit at the door and it's fast.

You won't go wrong with Ludus! I'm going into my 8th year with them and am very happy, and regularly, pleasantly surprised with new features and updates.  Highly recommend!
