I am grateful that -- after shifting my career to work with Disney Live Entertainment following 32 years as a high school theatre teacher in Oregon -- I am being encouraged to lean into my passion and experience and explore new ways of engaging with the community. Recent manifestations of that include the BACKstage Challenge at ITF, and the Theatre Technology Tournament (T3) at USITT. Next up is the THEATRE EDUCATORS SUMMIT we're hosting here at Disneyland Resort in October. Created with a focus on west coast educators (California, Oregon, and Washington) it's open to classroom teachers, teaching artists, program administrators and more ... anyone who identifies as a "Theatre Educator."
