    Hi,

Today is the last day to sign up for the Hands-On Counterweight Rigging Class. Designed for educators,
the six hour session will identify best practices involving counterweight systems. Often misunderstood and misused,
counterweight systems are an integral part of our theatres. Enhancing their skills and knowledge,
educators will in turn be better prepared to use and teach this important theatrical system.

The session will be taught by Tyler DeLong and Dana Taylor, ETCP Certified Riggers and will be held on
Thursday, June 27 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theatre, Bloomington.

    Thanks,

    Dana

Will we be learning about best practices for rigging scenery?  I'm hoping to come out with some very specific guidelines for our scenic designers who want to fly scenery about how those pieces need to be constructed since I've been asked to fly some pieces that made me really uneasy recently.

    Hi Penelope,

Yes, we will spend time looking at best practice for flying scenery. This includes the hardware you should use, applying design factors, working load limits,
    and terminations.

We look forward to seeing you.
