Hi Everyone!
It came to my attention recently that teachers with vocational tech theatre students, who might be interested in working as technicians in theatres on cruise ships, don't have the resources with which to advise those students about this unique career opportunity within the entertainment industry.
Enter stage right…. So, this weekend I set to work creating a free resource for you to help you advise your vocational tech theatre students about careers in theatres on cruise ships.
This resource answers these questions:
What sort of positions are available on cruise ships?
What experience and training are needed?
What is the difference between a theatre technician and a lounge technician?
What are contracts and work schedules like?
What is it like to live on a cruise ship?
What to bring along?
I hope this will help you with any questions your students may have. And... if you, or your students, have any questions for me, please don't hesitate to send them to the Salty Sage in the Starboard Spotlight newsletter at: https://www.cruisetechies.com/newslettersignup.html Last week's timely question was: I was wondering what sort of jobs are available on cruise ships? (!)
Smooth sailing!
Beth
