Our classroom/black box is serving has our main stage until the MPR is completed (at least 3 years from now). It has wonderful, albeit basic, lighting. But we have no sound equipment for musicals. I don't mind doing stripped down versions of musicals; it's a great challenge and enjoyable for the audience. But we have little room for speakers or a sound board, and there's no need to mic the actors. I just need to be able to cue the tracks from an iPad or PC, and speakers that don't take up too large a footprint. I don't have any experience with sound mixing and cannot afford to hire a sound person. Not too mention that a large system with a mixer would not be a good investment given that the musicals will eventually go back to the MPR with a much bigger space and a real sound system. Recommendations? Please and thank you.
