Hello! I teach in a rural public school in Georgia, with about 250 in the HS population too, and started the theatre program here! And first off, bravo... you are already off to the right start finding this resource! My biggest challenge was having absolutely no community of colleagues to support me or answer questions, even those I felt were "dumb questions", and it took me at least 4 years to learn about EdTA... Just this discussion group has helped in so many ways, most everyone I have talked with are super knowledgeable and quick to respond. Feel free to reach out to me too if you have any specific questions. I have learned quite a bit navigating my tiny, but always impactful, program the past 12 years.

I'm in a small private school overseas with a small enrollment of about 250 in the secondary. On top of that, this is the first year that we have ever had a Theatre program.
Always happy to connect with others and chat about experiences!
Feel free to message with any questions!

Are there any other drama teachers from small schools out there?
My school district has 130 high school students and 80 middle school students. I am over the theater program in both schools.
This is my second year, and I would love to talk to other educators in similar situations.
