I'm so excited to share that EdTA is launching a new initiative at the upcoming Theatre Education Conference (Sept 26-29, 2024) in Minneapolis: a call for research sharing on innovative programs, models, and practices in theatre education! We are inviting diverse practitioners, scholars, and educators to discuss their work in organized roundtable discussions. This is a chance for researchers to engage with others to strengthen their practice and scholarship. We welcome submissions from graduate students, early career scholars, PK-12 educators, college faculty, artists, and community-based scholars. Each roundtable will be facilitated by an accomplished arts education researcher and will include 3-5 research presenters to maximize interaction and feedback opportunities.
Submissions accepted include
- An abstract for a working paper (maximum 500 words, excluding references)
- A brief working paper (maximum 1000 words, excluding references)
- A research poster
- A 5-minute excerpt of an embodied performance video
- 10 pages (max) of an ethnodrama script
See the link below for more details on accepted submissions. Interested researchers should click on the link below for more details and to submit research to be considered.
