  • 1.  Radio Silence from Playscripts/Broadway Licensing

Hi all -- my students and I have performance rights for Clue (non-musical) this fall, and have been having a hard time getting questions answered from Playscripts -- or Broadway Licensing, honestly I can't even tell who is in charge.  I'm stuck in a cycle of talking to their "spot bot" chat online, sending emails, and getting responses that my requests have been received and are "in queue"... and then getting nothing.

I can't even buy extra scripts for the larger than expected turn out I got at auditions, and I've been asking since June to be able to access the sound tracks I bought.  (They said I would get them by email... I assumed I would have them by now, as rehearsals are beginning, and have asked again a few times recently... but silence.)  I know everyone is short staffed, but this show is more expensive than most, and these items are important to me and my students.  Advice?

Same here!! I've been trying to get through to a live person for three weeks now. I've left 3 voicemail messages, with no call backs. I've written several messages with similar results. Sadly, we are having to adjust our timeline due to not being able to reach anyone -- this is definitely a first for me!!!

No advice...except to say that I am right there with you! The silence is deafening....

Playscripts and Broadway Licensing are now the same company they just haven't done the brand consolidation the same way that Concord has. Maybe they are working on that and that's part of the problem. Concord was a complete mess during their merger.
