  • 1.  Q Lab Alternative for Chromebooks

    Posted 07-18-2022 15:33
My district issue device is a Chromebook, and we do not have anywhere near enough money in our budget to just get a mac and run Q Lab.
I've been trying to find sound cue systems that will run for Chromebooks and I have been unsuccessful. There are several that will run with Linux, but the cross boot feature has been blocked on my Chromebook by the district, so those are not an option. I have a personal PC, but it is breaking down after almost 8 years, so it is not the most consistent option.
I would really appreciate suggestions on software or even chrome extensions, that will allow me to run cues more efficiently that the built in media player.

I can't remember if it works on Chromebooks or not, but look into Universal Soundboard. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of a Q-Lab, but works well for simple stuff, and it's free.
