I always used the "1 point for every 10 hours of excellent theatre work". Crew heads kept track of hours, & I always recommended that each student keep track of their own, too. And I emphasized the "excellent theatre work" part - not just hanging around distracting others. It worked well! You can also award extra points for exceptional work!

I get where you're coming from. There are a number of jobs that aren't covered on the point list. Over the years, when such issues have come up with my troupe, I've usually been able to look over the list and extrapolate what it would recommend if the job in question were on the list. For instance, the list includes directors and assistant directors; conversely, it includes stage managers, but not assistant stage managers. The recommended points for director and stage manager are the same, so I would assume that the recommended points for assistant director and assistant stage manager should also be the same. There is a listing for assistant choreographer, so I think that might be the appropriate guideline to use for a dance captain or a fight captain.

I may just be overlooking it, but I have not been able to find it yet. I hope y'all can help me. Does anyone know how many points one would award for being dance captain for a musical or fight captain for something with an intricate sword battle?
