  • 1.  One Act cutting of The Diviners

    Hey all - I'm pretty new at this (only my second OAP year) and I've never cut a play.  I'd really like to do The Diviners - I have the two strong men and lots of good supporting men, plus several strong women.  (I'm in Junior High - these are 8th graders). Two questions:  1, is this a good choice for OAP for Junior High, and 2, do cuttings exist?  (Or is it hard to make a good cutting?)  Thanks!

    Just remember to get publisher permission before doing any cuts. You might also ask if the publisher has a cut version on file, or recommended cuts based on past requests. I'm sure Diviners gets a lot of requests.

    Hi everyone-- quick reminder, please do not digitally distribute scripts, even a cutting. Digitally copying and distributing scripts makes it tricky to properly compensate authors for use of their work. THE DIVINERS is often approved for competition cuttings on a case-by-case basis, though a pre-approved cutting is not available. Please email K12@concordtheatricals.com with any questions about how to request permission to use a show for a competition.
