Musicals with little to no choreography?

Unfortunately, my program lost it's choreography for the fall musical. I'm in the process of trying to find someone else, but given the timing of everything, I would like to direct a musical that can be produced without a choreographer just in case I'm unable to find a suitable replacement. Right now, my top choice is Sweeney Todd. Does anyone else have a recommendation for a musical that would be doable without a choreographer? I know that probably sounds ridiculous given the nature of musicals. While I have every intention of finding a choreographer, I need to get the ball rolling with everything (applying for rights, schedule, etc.) and my search may take longer than I would like. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Here's a few musicals where you can get away with little to no choreography. Best of luck!

    The Sound of Music
    Godspell
You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
    Little Shop of Horrors

When I was faced with same challenge, I asked the local big dance studio to recommend a senior student who they thought could do it.

South Pacific ( a low dance shoe btw) was a success and the local paper even do a below the fold front page article on her bring the choreographer.

Did the same thing following years for Me and My Girl and Bye Bye Birdie, both low dance shows.

Check out this script! It's a musical history of the American suffrage movement--staged as a dynamic town-hall, full of wit and smarts. There is MINIMAL choreography. You can preview the entire script for free: On Account of Sex | Gitelman & Good Publishers

Sweeney may not be Dames at Sea, but the movement and vocal requirements are intense. I was able to do it once in over 30 years of teaching. (Performed at ITF. )

Take a look at Theory of Relativity - interconnected song cycle about the interconnectedness of humanity. Adjustable cast size with lots of great, individual moments.

    Hi,

We have a musical called THE MOMENT - no choreography needed.  Each scene is "the moment" when your life changes.  Mixed race cast - all written by BIPOC, Female or LGBTQ writers.  Scenes such as:  a Black boy whose parents are sending him to an all white school, a high school senior who searches for her birth mother, a sophomore struggles with getting a father's day card for his "step" dad.   A teenager discovers his true self after trying no his mother's dress.  Mature themes, great characters, music tracks available, just send me a message with your email and I'll send a perusal script.  GItelman & Good publishers license the show.

    Thanks

    Larry
