    Oregon Center For the Arts at Southern Oregon University is accepting applications for the Master of Theatre Studies program.  This three-year summer program is geared toward middle school, high school, and community college theatre teachers.  Study design and production in scenic, costumes, lighting, sound as well as script analysis in the Summer Intensive as well as electives in all areas plus directing, theatrical makeup, choreography, etc.,  Three different electives are offered this summer.  Please visit this link for more information and this link to apply to the program.

    I checked out the link, and the program sounds awesome. I'm especially pleased that it includes training in script analysis, research, sketching, color, modelmaking, drafting, and other skills needed by set designers.

    One thing I might include (if it's not already hidden in there), is an introduction to SketchUp, a 3D modeling program that's being used more and more by set designers in addition to architects, engineers, and others. The Pro version includes a drafting module, similar to AutoCAD, that works directly with SketchUp.
