Looking for a vignette-y musical that would be good for a group of 7th and 8th graders with intermediate (not advanced) skills/experience. Need something that has some scenes with at least *SOME* substance and flexible casting (i.e. show is not dependent having one or two strong leads; possibly something where there could be different actors in each scene). The example title that keeps popping into my brain is "Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr." except that, in my memory, there are almost no scenes in that show. Really need something where the scenes are more than a few lines to introduce the next song. Thanks for your suggestions.
