  • 1.  Looking for a play 45 - 60 minutes for a cast of 15 (10 female/5 male)

    Posted 20 days ago
    Hello all,

I'm looking for a play for my 8th graders that is 45-60 min in length for a cast of 15 (10 female/5 male)  I love strong writing with enough for these actors to do.

We've had success with Radium Girls and The Amazing Lemonade Girl.

    Thanks so much.

Hi Lisa - I'd love to suggest my play Rosaline Wrecked It All - https://www.youthplays.com/play/rosaline-wrecked-it-all-one-act-version-by-stephen-kaplan-693

The one-act version is a cast of 14 but can easily be expanded (if you're interested let me know) and can run 45-50 minutes.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Hi Lisa, ArtReach has many 45-60 minute plays for about 15 young performers:  https://www.childrenstheatreplays.com/_a-list_of_plays_for_kids.htm#size

I've created a one-act version of my romantic/adventure comedy JOURNEY TO THE POLES OF INACCESSIBILITY that could fit the bill.  Email me if you'd like to read a copy of the script.

Indiana Jones meets Around the World in 80 Days in this fantastical one-act romcom! Dylan was traumatized by his parents' disappearance as a child and now keeps his life safe, working at an insurance company and living with his aunt.  But Chris yearns for adventure after a closeted life.  She's convinced magic is real and what remains of it can be found at the world's most remote places, the Poles of Inaccessibility.  Fate intervenes, and Dylan must circle the globe with Chris on an epic journey of discovery, comedy, danger, and love.

    Best,
    Craig

Laura Neill's "Between the Stories" is really good: https://www.yourstagepartners.com/between-the-stories

And I second "Rosaline Wrecked It All"
