My school is doing Little Shop in the spring. I have a group of students who will work on building puppets throughout the year in preparation. Can anyone please direct me to someone who may be available for a design consultation? I want to pay someone to collaborate on the design and suggest materials. I will then build the puppets with one of my daily classes for 45 minutes and continue building with a student tech team for two hours after school three or four days per week. We have from mid-September to mid-April to finish the puppets; the show goes up in mid-May. So far I have emailed five puppeteers and three puppet organizations, but only two people and one group have responded - all are too busy with projects right now (which makes me really happy for my students who want to be puppeteers and puppet builders in the future! They will have plenty of work!).
I have worked with this show and puppeteers for this show on several occasions and have learned what I would like to do and not do, especially in terms of materials. I just need some help to ensure everything will work according to the director's ideas and the needs of my student puppeteers. Again, I definitely want to pay for a design consultation and a materials list.
