  • 1.  How to "update" Oliver

Any ideas how to bring costumes into the late 1900's or early 2000's?

Pointers on playing Oliver older?  I have a huge High School Cast.  Our Oliver will not be a young kid.  They will be a bit smaller in stature than others but I don't want to play them young.

    any creative ideas….

I had the opportunity to see &Juliet on Broadway. What a delightful musical. They added bright colored bomber jackets to the mismatched pieces of Elizabethan styled pants, skirts, tops.

The idea of the bomber jackets stuck with me (thin fabric, not thick). Seems like that could work as an idea to update Oliver.
