Hello!
I am considering Grease Young@Part from TRW for my middle school students. Has anyone done this show recently? I know my students and school would love the show. The script, while a bit disjointed, does a good job of omitting the content that is not appropriate for an elementary/middle school. My students are comfortable playing boyfriend/girlfriend roles and they will dance/hold hands with each other, so I'm not worried about those aspects.
However, I felt like the scene when Danny and Sandy are in his car and he gives her his ring was a little much for 7th and 8th graders. He's still really coming on to her in this version as well. Maybe it's just me and I would need to think of a more comfortable way to stage it?
Again, just looking for overall thoughts on Grease Young@Part with middle school students. I'm supposed to pick the musical soon...help!
Thank you!
