For the first time ever, I am stumped for a fall play. It is an extreme building year. Thanks to the pandemic, they don't have the experience and emotional maturity to do something really challenging like the past (We have produced
Laramie Project, Women of Lockerbie, Almost, Maine, etc.) We just read Alan Haehnel's "The Long View" in class and the students' really liked the play, but I want something a little longer than an hour show. While I really want to direct a show with a box set like an Agatha Christie mystery or a Neil Simon play, I think I need to direct a play that has age appropriate teenage characters. I would like a play with 12-20 characters. Anyone have suggestions for a good full length play with teenage characters, for my summer reading list?
Thanks!
