Hi, 

Last year I wrote and performed a musical with the 11-14 year old students at my school, and I'd like to offer it for free to any school/theatre who is interested. It is an easy show to do with lots of humor and catchy songs. It's titled "Too Cool for Preschool" and yes, it takes place in a preschool, but don't let that scare you away, it's for 5^th – 8^th graders. I cast my younger, silliest students as the preschoolers and my older, maybe more reserved students as the teachers or parents, and they all enjoyed their roles immensely.

I wrote this musical with the intent of giving lines to as many students as I possibly could. I ended up with 37 speaking roles, which was more than I originally intended, but it worked well. I can easily edit the script and bring the number to anywhere from 16-37 to fit your casting needs.

There are 10 songs in this musical, all are a lot of fun. One song is a rocker named "Are You Cereal?" which includes a cereal fight, another is a hip-hop rap entitled "Property" with some great choreography opportunities, and another is an EDM inspired song named "Back Into the Light", performed in the dark with flashlights.

This is not the first youth musical I have written; I have three others which are published and have been performed across the US, Canada and Australia. This musical, however, is still unpublished and I would love to have it performed again. I have full scripts, instrumental and vocal tracks, and sheet music, all of which I will give for free. I am not looking for any money, and I am fine with schools or theatres charging admission fees and making t-shirts if they choose.
