    Does anyone know what has happened to Dramatics Magazine? I have not received one in a very long time? Has it been discontinued? Is it now digital? How do we get to it? Thanks.

    It is now dramatics.org

    It moved to a digital magazine format for a while, but now it is just a website.  It still has great resources and articles which I use in my classroom, but there doesn't appear to be any difference for members and non-members, so I don't think it's really considered a membership benefit anymore.

    Dramatics Magazine is still around. It is published by the International Thespian Society. I'm not sure why you're not getting it or if there is a fee. But check them out It's still being published.

    Hi Stanley,

    Guy is correct: Dramatics stopped publication as a printed magazine in 2020 when the pandemic hit, but we continue to publish content digitally on Dramatics.org.

    An archive of back issues from 2012-2020 is available online. I've provided a direct link here, but you can also find a button to access this archive and a similar one for Teaching Theatre from the education section of EdTA's website.

    Hi Timothy,

    I'm afraid there are not plans to bring the printed magazines back. We no longer have the staff or the infrastructure necessary to be a magazine publisher. Creating, printing, and distributing magazines is incredibly expensive (which is why students only received Dramatics for one year pre-pandemic). We now reach 5x the audience for a fraction of the cost through Dramatics.org.
