Hi all!
I am so excited to attend TEC this year! I feel like a broken record, but sometimes teaching theatre feels lonely, especially when you're the only theatre teacher at your school. Not only does TEC have INCREDIBLE professional development (culturally responsive teaching! Low budget tech options! Yes please!), but it is also a chance to build community where you feel less alone, and in my case, a little less crazy. Because no one understands what it is like teaching theatre better than another theatre teacher. (I see you my middle school folk!) The informal conversations can be just as valuable as the scheduled content.
I hope to see y'all there! Let's build each other up as we build our programs!
