Alameda High School needs a TD to support our Fall play and Spring musical! Join our wonderful community! Minimum stipend begins at $~4500, negotiable based on experience/availability. Potential for salary growth as program builds.
Desired Qualifications:
-experience working on technical crews for theatre, ideally at the professional level
-strong working knowledge of industry standards, especially for set and lighting design and implementation
-experience working with young people, preferably high school students
-student-centered pedagogy and ability to support student ideas and vision while teaching technical theatre skills
-availability during some school-day, after-school and weekend hours to support the design and implementation of several design aspects for the Fall play and Spring musical
-ability to lead and organize Tech Build Days (~3 weekend days in Fall and ~3 weekend days in Spring) in collaboration with Director
-positive, energetic team-player with proven ability to collaborate well with directors, tech crew, actors and other production stakeholders
-innovative, creative, and willing to work within budget constraints in an established, but re-building, high school theatre program
