- At 100 points, Thespians in our troupe earn a Varsity letter in theater
- I do an "Outstanding Freshman" (sophomore, junior, senior) award each year. I use Outstanding instead of Best so I can recognize one kiddo at each grade level for some way they excelled during the year.
- Troupe's Choice - based on the results of a survey/ballot completed by all members. I worried it would be a popularity contest, but every year it genuinely goes to someone who leads by example and wins on merit.
- Senior Wills: all graduating Thespians have a chance to leave a "legacy" to those left behind. This has been everything from cans of paint or broken props, to a funny story, catchphrase, or in-joke, to a piece of art or other souvenir to decorate the classroom or rehearsal space.
Some years I also do one-off awards for some unique event, student, etc. The kid who got hurt during a combat rehearsal got the "Walking Wounded" award, the one who's always late gets the "I'll Get There When I Get There" (they get a claim ticket for the trophy, which has not arrived yet), the kid who steps in last minute to cover a role gets the "St. Bernard Rescue Award," and so forth.
