This may help you. It is a conversion from Rosco's Off Broadway paints to Home Depot (Glidden) paints. I use them when I teach scenic painting when I'm not trying to get rid of old paint I've stock piled from previous shows. ------------------------------ Nicholas Osenberg Design and Technical Theatre ...

EdTA filmed superior-rated Thespys at ITF a few years ago and published videos like this one (click here). Does anyone have access to these videos or similar ones? They are beneficial for sending to new troupes and students who want to understand what a Thespy entails. I have most of these original films. ...

We did this show a few years back. We did not face or view issues with indigenous people's treatment that you are. I view Peter and the Starcatcher as a stylized satire of British colonialism, sort of in the way Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzates is a satire of colonialism. We approached this ...

I would recommend Euripides' Trojan Women. It is a show that speaks to us about the price women pay for men's wars. It is placed in a refugee camp where the nobility family of Troy awaits the Greek decisions about where each woman goes. It has arguable the most powerful female monologue that survives ...

Cassy, I haven't found a Cupid & Psyche adaptation but I did Don Zolidis's Refugee Women one-act last February. It is a great adaptation of a Greek drama with a great female central message. As a major in classics, I read almost all of the Greek drama in existence and Trojan Women is my favorite and ...

I wouldn't bring it up at in front of the board. Leave that particular discussion to start with a parent/voter. What works best is pack the boardroom with your parents and students. Then do a presentation including where some of the district's alumni are (college, working professionally, etc.). Do not ...

I think your list covers the very basics and highlights where the industry is going in terms of multiple parameter fixtures. I second learning magic sheets, especially if you can swing a touchscreen monitor to make selecting that much more visceral. Also I would work in a discussion for color mixing ...

I create at least 15 codes in a given school year for similar things. I use this website, QR Stuff. They have yet to charge me. I can make the QR code either a static or a dynamic QR code and color it if I want. Additionally, if you are a school system with Office365, in the Share function of apps, ...

Lighting: ETC has worked with the Swedish company, Capture, to create a visualizer for learning how to use the Eos family software. It corresponds to their workbooks and plethora of tutorial videos on YouTube. Capture is expensive but well worth the money. I have used it as a designer and a teacher ...
