    This full-time position oversees the technical theater operations of assigned performances and events held at the Gia Prima Theater, at the Grunin Center, and in ancillary locations on the Ocean County College campus.  This position also provides assistance to designated Grunin Center and GPAA Administrators by supporting production and technical operations and activities; helping to train technical crew members; and working as a part of the technical crew on assigned shows. This position is expected to communicate effectively with a variety of people including college personnel, students, artists, the general public, and everyone associated with a touring or rental production.  Additionally, this position is expected to have a working knowledge of techniques, methods, and procedures for theater, dance, and music productions. 

    1.  Oversees the technical operations of assigned performances/events in the Gia Prima Theater, on the Main Stage of the Grunin Center, and in auxiliary locations at Ocean County College as assigned by the immediate manager and designated administrators.  The Gia Prima Theater is located in the new Grunin Performing Arts Center for High School students on the OCC campus.
    2.  Provides training and mentoring of temporary technical crew workers and GPAA/OCVTS teachers, staff, and students.  
    3.  Works as part of the technical crew on assigned shows in the Gia Prima Theater, on the Main Stage, and in auxiliary locations at OCC as needed.  This includes setting up and running sound equipment.
    4.  Completes the technical advance and serves as the primary technical contact for productions/events in the Gia Prima Theater; Works in direct partnership with immediate manager on efficient and effective fulfillment of artist contracts
    5.  Monitors the condition of equipment in the Gia Prima Theater including, but not limited to, lighting, sound, and rigging equipment; Performs or arranges for the repair and replacement within budgetary constraints; Identifies and coordinates short- and long-term maintenance schedules and capital requests with immediate manager
    6.  Coordinates the hospitality needs for assigned shows
    7.  Maintains a safe and clean working environment and instructs crew in safety procedures and equipment use; Reports hazardous conditions to appropriate departments immediately
    8.  Related duties, initiatives, and projects as assigned
