  • 1.  Kabuki Theater Lesson Plan

    Hello!  Our English department has initiated a cross/curricular unit with Kabuki theatre; they want drama to come up with lesson plans, etc.  Does anyone have a Kabuki lesson plan they would be willing to share, recommendations for perhaps a Kabuki script in English that high school students might study/perform, or any other good lesson ideas? Thanks!

    Shita-Kiri Suzume was a wonderful Kabuki play done at our District and State Festivals!

    What about a section on Kabuki makeup? I find this fascinating. Have students research what the different colors and shapes represent and then they can create their own.
