    I am going to most likely be directing a musical in the fall and am looking for a good resource on directing musicals. Any books that you would recommend?

    There is a great book called Directing in Musical Theatre by Joe Deer that would probably be helpful!!!

    i directing book that I love (not specifically about musicals) and have recommended before in this community is Thinking Like a Director: A Practical Handbook by Michael Bloom.  For me, it is just the right blend of intellectual and practical.
