  • 1.  A rarity! Looking for 4 person boys scenes!

    Yes,

I have 4 boys that want to do an ensemble scene and I am stoked! However, the only one that I can think of off hand (which I am ok with) is 12 Angry Men. Any and all other suggestions? By the way, this is for Middle School.

    Thanks!

Although the Patsy character doesn't have many lines the scene in SPAMalot between Robin, Lance, Patsy and Arthur at the top of the show and the scene with Dennis, Dennis's Mother, Arthur and Patsy right before the Lady of the Lake is introduced. Shakespeare is another good option.
Are you looking more for dramatic or comedic and is there a limit on what you can do? (i.e. what will your community be comfortable with considering the ages of the actors?)

One of my favorite one-acts "Hidden in this Picture" by Aaron Sorkin is written for 4 guys (although some of the parts could really be for either gender).  It is play about two best friends who are a film director and a film writer.  The play opens as they are about to film the final  shot of their first movie and they are waiting for the sun to set to get the perfect shot when three cows walk into the shot.  The producer comes in to tell them that they are over budget and they most get this shot today and the fourth character is a flustered production assistant.  It's really funny in an Aaron Sorkin sort of way.
