Musicals/cutting for Theater Competitions

    Hello everyone!
This year our theater troupe returned, after a 15+ year hiatus to Michigan's Theater competitions (MIFA).  As we've also traveled to other One Act Theater Festivals.  We've enjoyed other troupe's presentations of musicals, cut to the required 45 minute time frame.
I was wondering what other musicals have been taken to various theater festivals/competitions.  We thoroughly enjoyed watching a school present a cut version of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder,  Into the Woods (just the FIRST ACT), LUCKY STIFF.
What other MUSICALS can you get the rights to present a condensed, 45 minute version of the show?
Any tips on cutting?  Any particular shows see great success?
Also, do you present the musical that you working on for your regular season or just work on a musical specifically FOR the theater festivals/competitions?
