It's that time of year...looking for something similar to our past three shows--a comedy with literary elements.  Something with merit.  Our past three shows have been really successful in our rural community:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (2019)
Dearly Departed (2018)
Almost, Maine (2017)

We are not interested in corny, made-for-high school plays.  Something in the same vein as above would do the trick.  Looking forward to your suggestions!  Thanks!

Thanks, all.  The search continues.  I'd like to add that I'd prefer the show was something contemporary.  Also, looking at a play with at least 7F and no more than 5M.  I realize this is really particular.  We may go for another Jones-Hope-Wooten Southern comedy, but are only two years removed from Dearly Departed.  

Does anyone have experience with Middletown?  Sounds intriguing but I'm not sure it will be funny enough.

I couldn't get away with the bawdiness of Noises Off at my Christian school, but I love that play. I too steer clear of most written-for-teens scripts, but I made an exception last year after consulting with my graduating seniors, and did Don Zolidis's "Nooses Off". Super funny and we had never done a really energetic slapstick farce before, So much fun working on it and cast, crew, and audiences really enjoyed the many challenges of the show.
