We are developing a costuming class through our Family and Consumer Sciences Department and are looking for a good name.  

Do you have a costuming class?  What do you call it?    Other ideas? 

Our current classes are Acting, Advanced Acting, Stagecraft and Theatre Workshop (a performance development class).

What's the content and focus of the class, i.e., history of costume and fashion, character expression, design (including drawing and rendering methods), construction (including pattern making or draping, sewing, texturing, dyeing), shoes, accessories? Is it a lecture class, lab, or both? Will the students work on current shows as part of the class?

All those can help determine a proper and accurate name for the class.

I needed some creative ideas to get started - my batteries are low this time of year! I think we're going with Costume and Character Design.  Of course, for Theatre students but also hoping to bring in some Cosplay or Re-enactment kiddos.

Mine is called Costumes and Stage Makeup. The focus is about 65/35 costumes/makeup.
