We are really liking Ludus. This is our first year using online tickets and our patrons like it and the support is quick and friendly if needed.

Showtix is free in terms of there are fees that they have, but you can choose whether or not they are passed on to the person or to the group. In addition, they are easy to use, and they send you a check, plus if you have an MTI show, take a discount.
I also got another dividend check mid January.

I can't compare/contrast, but we started using ArtsPeople this year and love it. There's quite a bit of learning to do, but they walk you through it in phases and have quick, excellent customer service. It's very simple for patrons and box office volunteers to use, and they can access it right through your school's website. It's not 100% free (something like .75 per ticket and the CC fee that you'd have anyway), but you can pass that fee off to your customer if you want. Lots of options that seem tailor-made for theatre people. I tried contacting BookTix first since they were recommended all over EdTA, but they never responded to my emails or phone calls, so I gave up and tried this one instead. Glad I did!

Do the services direct deposit your proceeds or send a check? If it's direct deposit, do you have it connected to a school account or to an outside school (booster) account?

    Thank you.

I use Arts People. They've been very easy to use. Responds very quickly when I have a question. They just cut us a check every month we sell anything. The initial setup is a bit of a job, but they really help walk you through it and are there with any questions you have.
