Hello to all,
I'm the chair for the Kansas Thespians college audition process and we are in the planning stages for an in-person festival this year (fingers crossed). I wanted to inquire how others handle accompaniment for those who are choosing to sing as part of their performance audition – whether virtual auditions or live auditions. Our policy in the past has been no recordings and no acapella. We provide an accompanist (students sometimes also bring their own). I'm just wondering what others do and if that's an old protocol/requirement that we should update.
