I just had an Acting 1 class added last minute . . . I have a week to plan.  Anyone in Georgia have a course plan they are willing to share? I have resources from the past, but it has been several years.  Suggestions welcome!

Gai Jones (revered and very experienced theatre teacher)  wrote a book RAISING THE CURTAIN. Excellent comprehensive guide

Many university theatre programs have open education sections with curriculum (BYU had excellent line up)

    Theatrefolks--lessons can be easily downloaded

Bruce Miller recently (like, 2015) published an excellent book, 'Acting on the Script', which could act as the basis for an excellent Acting course. It helps teach how to break down a scene, then gives areas to work on, and provides an excellent script for class work (some language and adult themes, but if it is just for classwork, you could probably wing it).

Highly recommended. I second the suggestions made for TheatreFolk, Gai Jones' 'Raising the Curtain' and add one for Drama Teacher Academy, there are courses there which would fit nicely.

I hear what you are saying.  I asked a similar question a while ago.  I am not seeing any answers to your question.  Many good leads but no real definitive answers.  I would LOVE to be able to see a Theatre 1 pacing guide or calendar.  It would be so very helpful to be able to see what a full year of Theatre 1 should look like.  I recieved many wonderful suggestions and have a stack of books I am reading over the summer, however I do not feel any closer to figuring out what a Theatre 1 course and class should look like.
